Many people suffer from it. Pain in the lower back! It is not intolerable, but it is far from ideal and you can really suffer from it. In this article, I emphasize breathing, since the correct breathing can correct many low back complaints.
How can lower back complaints be remedied by breathing?
Good breathing provides stability in the lower back, more trunk stiffness and more mobility in the upper back. This ensures that you work on the stability of the lower back even while sitting. Since you are breathing the whole day, you will understand that you are therefore constantly working on those low back problems by breathing well.
In addition, the back is involved in a huge number of movements in daily life (but also during training). Good trunk stiffness and a stable spine will, therefore, be crucial in order not to increase complaints.
How should we breathe properly and can this be trained?
When we breathe deeply through the belly, the diaphragm (diaphragm) expands. This causes the muscles (but also tendons, tendon plates, and the fascia) to stretch, causing pressure. This pressure is a kind of healthy tension that stabilizes the spine. If this pressure is lost by, for example, breathing high, you often see that back problem occur or increase.
It is therefore important to practice breathing through the abdomen and to train.
The best method to practice breathing is the crocodile breath:
Put in relaxed stomach lie something in the slight cavity of the lower back and try to push it as high as possible by deep abdominal breathing. The goal is to eventually hold a breath of 4 seconds in and 8 seconds off. By practicing this much, the diaphragm will be strengthened.
So if you have low back pain this is a simple way to solve it. If this does not resolve the symptoms over time, it can not hurt at any rate and will ensure a more stable spine and a stronger diaphragm.
